Meteoroscape photography expressed the “Historically separated”
■ Description

I can’t help thinking of the Emperor system, which is the “Symbol” of Japan, when it comes to the anniversary of the end of the war (15th August). It is not a coincidence that the last frame is in front of Tokyo Station, and there is the Imperial Palace at the end of the road.
On August 8, 2016, Emperor Heisei’s abdication was meant to be the official end of the post-war era of Japan, I suppose. In many ways, the U.S. election in November was a turning point for majorities of us, too.

In this work, in order to take pictures of the time and people standing at such a crossroads, I spent a day to walk around the divided roads in front of the main railway stations of the Yamanote Line, which goes around Tokyo.
I’m sorry to those who happened to be passers-by, but I would like you to forgive me for displaying it as an era sample.

Of course, I referred to the animation movie “時をかける少女 / The Girl Who Leapt Through Time”. Even if she got the ability to start over at any time, which future to choose is the key, – it is the theme of the story.
As you said, the question is what we choose next.
