■ Description


Hypothesis is always rough. Science is a repetition of its hypothesis and verification.

Originally, it was supposed to be photos of transparent wave, but for some reason it was a series of work that there was one piece in it blurred. Since I decided the work is related to the project’s theme, “the relationship between the one and its duplications”, this clumsy work was developed to an exhibition being held finally.


The description of this work is mainly done in the record (シュレーディンガーのパラソル展 / Schrodinger’s parasol exhibition).

By the way, the appearance that the point of light in the work increases is eye-catching.

This refers the consequent of an experiment that reveals the state of “superposition” that the light is particles but also creates interference fringes, which is the nature of waves. “Young’s interference experiment by a single photon” (1982) is quoted in the work by the courtesy of Hamamatsu Photonics.


In a word, it was an attempt to make a meaning with the post-production. And there should be 2 directions which are the Design Art and the ‘Contemporary’ Art.

“Nagoya Triennale” which happened to be a topic at the same time happened to be related with us a bit, and the exhibition became to have a feeling of over-stuffing, it seems.
