Since being said that Beginners have to start by imitating, I tried to imitate Martin Parr’s technique, who is one of the Contemporary Artists (scenery photography).

It seems “Contemporary Art” has not been defined yet aside my luck of study and research however, if it is the “Contemporary Art (scenery photography)”, it should be defined as scenery photography taken of the present age.

I think that the consensus is taken for granted like this.

Martin Parr’s approach, for example, means that instead of taking a picture of the Parthenon in Greece, by taking mainly the tourists, we take pictures of the impact of modern globalization.

– This is Contemporary Art Photography.

So in this etude, I moved the stage to Japan. The focus is on the tourists around Shirakawa-go, which must be a heart of Japan in which families get together beside hearth in a mountain village closed to snow.
